About our space
Annabel’s New Brighton is a home like centre nestled in the heart of the community it serves. We have a spacious outdoor area with a natural landscape with native trees and plants. The Kaiako at New Brighton are all experienced and passionate teachers who provide a reciprocal and respectful environment for learning.
About our community
The nursery is a beautiful space where pēpē can explore open-ended experiences while supported by a responsive curriculum and intentional teaching. The environment provides experiences for child-led learning with and alongside others. We aim to have collaborative learning-focused relationships with parents and whānau and value primary care for our young pēpē knowing that attachment is so important in those early years.
Our centre's experiences
The preschool environment provides exciting and intentional spaces that promote self directed learning while also being supported through intentional teaching by our Kaiako. We have an amazing discovery programme for tamariki who are almost ready for school. This provides tamariki the opportunity to inquire into their own learning while having the opportunity to learn skills needed for their next learning journey. Our curriculum is responsive and provides support for children to grow and develop in all areas with a specific focus on social and emotional competence.
