All children in our centre have a Kaiawhina – this is a key teacher/special teacher who ensures they form secure and trusting relationships with teachers and their peers, ensures their health and well-being needs are met and will document their learning journey during your child’s time with us. As a teaching team, we are passionate about bringing natural elements into our physical and learning environments, providing multi-sensory learning opportunities and enabling children to develop a natural curiosity for exploring the world around them. Our programme offers a balance of structure, creating consistent and predictable rhythms of the day as children move between play and routine times, and learning through play. This means that purposeful and intentional design has gone into the resources, provocations and learning spaces (both indoors and outdoors) to ensure that the environment is reflective of the children’s strengths, interests and learning needs to support children’s holistic development through their play.
