Our History
Annabel's Educare was established in January 1998. It has evolved into a progressive and innovative kindergarten organisation with locations in Christchurch and wider Canterbury just beyond the city. Annabel's Educare is committed to providing quality childhood care and education in our Canterbury and Christchurch preschool locations. Annabel's Educare welcomes families of the Christchurch community in which each preschool centre is situated in.

As a trusted and respected leader in early childhood education, Annabel's Christchurch preschools place great importance on all children achieving their full learning potential. This is created through a partnership with Teachers, Parents and Whanau. Our many positive attributes have been demonstrated and maintained over the many years of operating as kindergartens in Canterbury. We have built an excellent reputation and strong rapport through honesty and commitment to individual children, families and their communities.

Our ERO reports are always of an extremely high calibre in which we are an approved "Quality Provider" by the Ministry of Education. As an organisation, we strongly believe in further development for the benefit of all children. Annabel's Educare preschool centres in Christchurch remain continuously focused on the future benefits and quality outcomes for children.
Our Christchurch preschool centres strive for excellence in early childhood education. This is evident through the provision of an extensive Discovery / Exploration programme, Child's Initiated Interest Programmes, Focused Group Programmes, and Children's Individual Programmes based on the early childhood curriculum, Te - Whariki and supporting documents.

We strive for learning that makes a difference for children, whilst being individualised for each child. We provide large, natural indoor and outdoor learning environments at our Christchurch kindergartens. They are designed to be challenging play areas that are interactive and age-appropriate for our preschool children.

The goal of education is to engage the mind
The teaching teams in our preschool centres are passionate and devoted to the delivery of a high quality programme and the best care possible. Our early childhood teachers are involved in on-going professional development to continue to keep their knowledge and understandings of theory and practice current. They participate in regular professional reflective discussion as to how this will enhance outcomes for children, the centre curriculum and link to programme planning and evaluation.
